Welcome to the website of the Hillsdale Free Methodist Church (HFMC).   We are a family of seekers.   We are seeking after God and His Son Jesus Christ by the power and assistance of the Holy Spirit.   And since God has promised that if we seek Him we will find Him if we seek Him with all our hearts, we are sure that we will find Him.  In fact, many of us already have a close personal relationship with the God of the Universe.

            The HFMC family is located approximately 5 blocks north of downtown Hillsdale and 2 blocks South of the Hillsdale College Sage Fine Arts Center.   Because of our history, heritage and hospitality, we are sure you will find a warm and welcoming spirit at our worship services.

            We don’t claim to be perfect.  We don’t even claim to have arrived yet.  But, we do claim to be earnestly seeking after God and we desire to follow and obey Him to the best of our ability.

            The Gospel is preached every Sunday and the Word of God is held in high regard and esteem at the HFM Church because the Bible is the very message of God to mankind to help us understand our world, our God and ourselves a whole lot better.  But, most importantly, God’s Word, the Bible, points us to the One who can save us from the sad conclusion of this world and also save us from our own sorry, selfish and sinful agendas. 

            We would like to invite you to join us if you get a chance.   We believe you will not only discover some amazing things about our amazing God; but we think you will come away from our services with warmth in your heart and peace in your mind. 

We are seekers.   And we are finding that we can be cheerful because we serve a God who is infinitely more gracious, kind, loving, forgiving and patient than we ever dreamed or imagined and at the same time we are also discovering that we are a whole lot more selfish than we ever thought as well.   But, coming to understand God’s grace in light of our own sinfulness has given us a courage and security that creates a supernatural joy in our hearts.  A joy we would love for you to come to know first hand.  Join us if you can.  We would love to see you  . . .  a fellow seeker!!
